Creative direction and/or design of items (from start to finish) for a Walmart® meeting. Focus was "BFF (Best Friends Forever)", so many of the items reflect that concept (i.e. keep half, give half to a friend) by being two pieces held together by handles and labels. These items received much internal praise. Almar VP of Merchandising said packages were "highly creative and innovative". President of Almar said that the watch package (upper right) was "excellent." ©Walmart, ©Almar

Vertical sliding packaging which illustrates how the tiara can be worn as both a tiara and a mask. This package received much acclaim both internlly and from Mattel®. ©Mattel, ©CDI, ©Jakks Pacific

packaging concepts designed per Mattel® While they were reworking Barbie® packaging. Being that they were so pleased with my work, I was given much creative freedom. These packages focus on the fashion aspect of the doll and the box designs are also being pushed into new directions. These designs would eventually lead to commendations from both the CDI® and Mattel® and presidents. ©Barbie, ©Mattel, ©CDI, ©Jakks Pacific

Creative Directed the Disney® Princess trade show graphics with the princess team, while Director of Creative Services at CDI®. This was the first season that we incorporated life sized cutouts of children, in order to help demonstrate the true size ratio of our products. We also began incorporating photos of children playing with our toys to help covey the magical world of Disney® Princess. Commendations were received from Disney® for this innovation. ©Disney, ©CDI, ©Jakks Pacific

packages designed while Mattel® was working on updated Barbie packaging. Being granted highest latitude, CDI had this exclusive item at Walmart- the "bag" shaped package. This focused on the fashion aspect of Barbie, using a large doll image on the front. This item was a tremendous success, resulting in multiple re-orders, eventually leading to praise from both the Mattel® & CDI® presidents. ©Mattel, ©CDI, ©Jakks Pacific

Toddler, Sesame Street® hanger cards that I designed for Walmart® while Director of Creative Services at CDI® for character dress-up items. The challenge of this card was to make the costumes appear animated without just having the head hanging down lifeless in front. Everyone felt this was a very innovative solution. ©Sesame Street, ©CDI, © Jakks Pacific

This package is the third generation that I designed for CDI® during the time Barbie®'s packaging look was evolving. These cards are some of the first times where Barbie®'s head is actually used to display the product in the set. Her artwork is enlarged to allmost human of proportions, showing Barbie "wearing" some of the actual product. These designs would be sold into Walmart® and lead to commendations from both Mattel® & CDI® presidents. ©Mattel, ©Walmart, ©CDI, ©Jakks Pacific
